Have you heard the buzz? Late nights are done the right way here at Randolph-Macon! Every Saturday, from midnight until 2 a.m., Student Life is spicing up the nightlife for the student body with partying done right. There is nothing better than free food, free games, and free music. After a full week of classes, everyone deserves to unwind, and this is your chance. What have you got to lose (other than maybe a corn hole game or two)?
It all started October 25, 2014, and has been a hit ever since. When the first Late Night Buzz was put on, 125 students were in attendance. After two more successful weekends, the numbers skyrocketed to above 400. The word spread like wildfire, and Student Life is only getting warmed up for this school year.
From makeshift chocolate factories to karaoke nights, there is not much that has not ended up on the agenda for a Saturday night. After all, one of their main goals is to reward R-MC students for all of the hard work that they put into their academics on a day-to-day basis. Student Life appreciates your endless dedication, and now it is their turn to give back to you.
As much as this sounds like a great one-time opportunity, it is even greater than you could imagine. It is not just one time, and it is not even limited to one semester. Student
Life wants to extend this offer to every student during every weekend. The only thing that they ask in return is that students show up and have a good time.
Sororities, fraternities, and student organizations also help out with the Late Night Buzz events. Why not make a couple new friends from these various groups on campus? All are welcome to attend!
So far, only four Late Night Buzz events have taken place this year, with numbers increasing after each week.
However, Student Life and student organizations will not settle for just good when they know they have got the best to offer. So, you know what that means… come spring semester, the bar will be set higher than ever. Student Life has a fantastic agenda lined up, and even a couple surprises in store for the student body. You do not want to let an opportunity like this buzz by!
Remember, nobody is too cool for school anymore. Nobody judges, and everybody is welcome. You will never have a dull weekend here at R-MC if the decision is up to Late Night Buzz. Give it a shot, because you have got nothing to lose and you sure cannot beat the price!
