The Kappa Alpha Theta chocolate rose sale was held just before Valentine’s Day in an effort to contribute to the sorority’s philanthropy while also creating a fun way for students and faculty to celebrate the “season of love”.
Each individual who bought a rose was able to write a personalized message to be attached to the stem, and all roses were delivered to students and faculty members on Valentine’s Day by sisters of KAO.
The money raised from the sale of roses supports the Theta Foundation.
In additition to providing resources concerning leadership and education of the Fraternity, the Foundation also supports individual members, enabling them to grow in scholarship and foster professional skills .
The annual event has been held for several years, and has been kept the same since its origin due to the popularity campus-wide.
